Dogs Loving Life in the Gold Coast!

Dear Westies of Singapore followers,

Welcome to Sunshine City, Goldcoast!

I have been here for a month and I love what I see every morning when I take my walks along the beautiful Gold Coast. I cannot help but smile at the sight of many furry friends living their best lives. The sandy beaches and vibrant parks create the perfect playground for the dogs here. It is heartwarming to witness the dogs’ joy firsthand and I wish Monte is still with me.

Let me share what I have noticed about the lives of the dogs in Goldcoast:

Beach Bliss:
Gold Coast is known for its stunning beaches, and they’re a dog’s paradise! I see dogs bounding through the sand, chasing waves, and enjoying the freedom of off-leash areas. It’s a joy to watch them frolic in the water and sand, their tails wagging with pure happiness. I mean, you can really feel their joy, just by watching them play!

Fetch and Fun:
Morning walks are filled with smiles as I pass by dog owners playing fetch with their pups. The excitement in their eyes and the way they dash after the ball captures the essence of canine joy. The bond between humans and their dogs shines brightly here. There are 2 groups that I observed and caught my eye. The first group made up of 3 border collies and they walk with their 3 humans. The other is a little white westie who walks with his mom. I love how they enjoy their morning walk and the joy that is emitting.

Community Vibes:
There is a sense of community and social responsibilities among pet owners here. Poo bags are provided by the park and located at various location in the park. Pet owners take responsibility to pick up the poo so the park is very and hardly any “poo bombs”. I notice that the dogs here are great with recall so even they are unleashed, they don’t stray very far and their sight are always on their owners. They are very well-trained I must say.
